Dallas Councilman Griffin White Arrested on Sexual Assault Charges
Ruff Griffin White

DALLAS, Ga. - A member of the Dallas City council was arrested for allegedly having inappropriate contact with a city employee.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation said Ruff Griffin White was arrested at the beginning of April after a 28-year-old woman came forward claiming Griffin had inappropriate contact with her on at least two occasions.

According to the police report, the victim stated White had started putting his arms around her shoulders and began kissing her on the top of the head. The woman further stated in the report that White took the advances further on March 22nd when she was called into an officer under construction and grabbed her chest.

The case had been tued over to the GBI because the incident involved a City of Dallas employee.

White is being charged with a misdemeanor and could retain his position on the city council even if convicted.

FOX 5 News had attempted to repeatedly contact White at his residence and his office, but did not get a response.
