Cousins Shauna Smith, Gregory Eric Williams Sentenced To Life For Debt Shooting

ATLANTA - Two cousins have been sentenced to life in prison plus 25 years for the 2007 shooting death of a 29-year-old man over an $800 debt.

Fulton County District Attoey Paul Howard said 32-year-old Shauna Smith and 23-year-old Gregory Eric Williams were convicted Monday of murder, felony murder, aggravated assault, burglary, conspiracy to commit a crime and weapons charges.

Prosecutors said Smith conspired with Williams to strong-arm Smith's ex-boyfriend, Brian Mosley, into paying her back for money she spent to fix her new boyfriend's car after Mosley keyed it in anger.

Police found Mosley dead outside his East Point apartment in December 2007. He had been shot in the chest and hit in the head.
