Counterfeit Exercise Equipment Seized At Savannah Ga. Port
SAVANNAH, Ga. - U.S. Customs and Border Protection officials say they intercepted and seized 1,783 pieces of counterfeit exercise equipment imported from China at the port of Savannah.
Officials said Monday the shipment was appraised with a manufacturers suggested retail price of $146,626.
Customs officials say that when officers inspected a shipping container, they discovered 764 cartons of exercise equipment marked with counterfeit logos which included the registered name brands of AB Fitness, Body by Jake, Shake Weight and Total Core.
