Cornell Robinson, Devery Kelley accused of robbing pregnant woman in labor in Maryland
TWO men were arrested and charged for robbing a pregnant woman while she was on the brink of giving birth.
Devery Kelley, 24, and Coell Robinson, 44, were accused of holding the woman and another man at gunpoint in Annapolis, Maryland, early on Sunday moing, according to WBAL-TV.
The local news station reported that the woman was in labour at the time of the stick-up.
Police said the gunmen fled in a stolen vehicle, throwing a handgun out as they drove.
The men then abandoned the vehicle and were captured as they ran off on foot, according to investigators.
The pregnant woman, who was not identified, was taken to the nearby Anne Arundel Medical Center, apparently in good health.
Hospital officials were unable to confirm whether she had delivered the baby yet.
