Cops: McDonald's Manager Tiffany Allen Who Hit Customer Arrested
A McDonald's manager accused of punching a customer in Marietta is under arrest in North Carolina.
Tiffany Allen was arrested on Monday by the New Hanover, N.C., Police Department.
Allen, who was off duty at the time, is accused of attacking customer Jennifer Schwenker outside the McDonald's on Bells Ferry Road.
Surveillance video captured the confrontation between Allen and Schwenker.
Police said Allen told Schwenker that her twin boys’ service dog, Barkley, wasn't allowed inside the fast food restaurant, police said.
Schwenker told police that the incident took place on July 12 when she took the boys to the McDonald's to have lunch.
JM and Jan Owens, who run the store where the incident occurred, released a statement saying that Allen is no longer employed by the company.
""We strive to comply with all applicable laws, including the Americans with Disabilities Act. It is our policy to make our restaurants accessible to all customers, including those with disabilities and special needs, whether or not they need the assistance of service animals," the owners said.
Allen is charged with battery assault and disorderly conduct.
Cobb County police are working to bring Allen back to Georgia.
