Computers Stolen From Atlanta School; 1 Arrested

ATLANTA - Police say one person is in custody after officers interrupted a burglary at Maynard H. Jackson High School. Police say thieves smashed their way into a computer lab at the school early Monday.

Atlanta police officer Brian French says the thieves fled into nearby woods when officers arrived.

Police say the thieves ditched the stolen computers in the woods. They say four computers have been recovered and there may be more in the woods.

The identity of the person arrested has not been released. Police say he was treated for cuts, probably from the window that was broken to gain entry to the school.
