A Columbus man has died after being hit in the head by a tree limb.

Muscogee County Coroner Buddy Bryan said Christopher Hartin was pronounced dead Saturday afteoon at a Columbus hospital. Hartin was cutting a tree limb at his home Monday when the limb swung down and hit him in the head.

The coroner told the Columbus Ledger-Enquirer (http://bit.ly/ZypKkD ) that Hartin died of blunt force trauma to the head and no autopsy is planned.
