ATLANTA, Ga. - A day after a possible toado ripped through a Metro Atlanta neighborhood, bitterly cold air has made its way into the forecast. Temperatures have taken a nosedive, and they won’t make it out of the 40s on Wednesday.

On Tuesday, severe weather left one Buford neighborhood a mess. A total of 56 homes were damaged by what may have been a toado. The National Weather Service is planning a trip to the area to determine whether or not the damage was caused by a toado.

Tuesday’s weather also brought heavy rains to the area, leaving a number of roadways flooded during the evening commute.

All of that weather was the result of a cold front that has now made its way into Metro Atlanta. FOX 5 meteorologist Jeff Hill says Wednesday will be sunny but very windy, and temperatures will remain very cold. Some spots were in the 30s early Wednesday moing, and highs were only expected to reach the mid to upper 30s for the day.

Another chance for showers comes on Friday, and the cooler weather will stick around for the remainder of the work week.
