Cobb County man Joe King charged in shooting death of wife

A Cobb County man has been charged in the shooting death of his wife at the couple's home near Marietta.

The Atlanta Joual-Constitution (http://bit.ly/QgnTyE ) reports that 55-year-old Joe King with felony murder and aggravated assault.

Cobb police spokesman Michael Bowman said in an email at a report of shots fired at a home in the 2000 block of Olive Springs. Officers found 53-year-old Lydia King dead from apparent gunshot wounds.

Bowman says Joe King is being held without bond Monday in the Cobb County Adult Detention Center.
