Clayton Police Search for Gunmen Tyrone Patterson in Double Shooting
Tyrone Terek Patterson, accused of gunning down a teenager walking to a neighborhood pool two weeks ago was captured in Delaware, according to police.

Clayton County police named a suspect Friday in the fatal shooting of a teenager. Police released a picture of suspect Tyrone Patterson and said he should be considered armed and dangerous. Police said Patterson shot 17-year-old Daell Fields Thursday.

Clayton County police say the shooting happened around 6:30 p.m. Thursday.

Fields was walking with his 30-year old aunt through the woods that surround his house off Faith Cove in College Park.

"Well basically my little cousin was walking through this cut on to this neighborhood pool where some grown guys come out and just started shooting at them in a hail of gunfire," said cousin Tony Jones as he pointed towards a nearby neighborhood.

Police spent the night canvassing the neighborhood looking for clues and possibly the gunmen. Police say the killing looked like an ambush. Family members said Fields just moved to the metro area from Chicago for a better, safer life.

Fields' mother Shiquila Mitchel says she wants to know why his life was taken. "They need to pay for what they did," said Mitchel.

The aunt, whose name has not been released, was recovering at Grady Hospital Friday with an injury to the leg.

Police said they believe the two victims were innocent bystanders.
