Police in Clayton County say a 25-year-old woman has been arrested in connection with the stabbing death of her child's father.

According to the Clayton County Police Department, units responded to a stabbing call at the 1800 block of Bentwater Court in Riverdale early Sunday evening. They say witnesses told them that an argument between Jemeka Riley and 26-year-old Shamontay Robinson ended in Robinson being stabbed by Riley.

Robinson was stabbed in the neck area, according to police.

Police say Robinson was the father of Riley's child. Robinson was transported to Southe Regional Medical Center where he later died.

Riley is facing several charges, including murder, according to police.
