Clayton County mom Ursula Folarin charged with letting kids live in deplorable conditions

A Clayton County mom was arrested and charged with cruelty to children and child deprivation after they say she had her three children living in a filthy home with no running water or electricity.
 
Code enforcement placed a red sticker on the front door of the home calling it unsafe for humans to live in.
 
That's after police told a local reporter they found human and animal waste on the floor, rotting food and insects in the refrigerator.
 
Sade Staples snapped photos of officers outside the home of Ursula Folarin, 40, Thursday afteoon.
 
Police were called to her Creekwood Way home after getting an anonymous call that Folarin and her 4-, 11- and 13-year-old children were living with no water or electricity.
 
”When I walked outside (there were) five or six police cars, Staples told the reporter.
 
”It was just deplorable all the way around, said Maj. Joseph Woodall of the Clayton County Police Department.
 
Police said the home smelled like urine and there was human and animal waste throughout.
 
”The food that was onsite was raw meat. It was left out on the counter. It was maggot-infested, according to our reporting officer, Woodall said.
 
Folarin was arrested. She was charged with cruelty to children and child deprivation.
 
Police say Folarin was squatting in the home. They say she told them she was paying someone to live in the home and only realized the person didn't really own the home when she was unable to put the utilities in her name.

Police said the home smelled like urine and there was human and animal waste throughout.
 
Police told Jones they aren't buying that story.
 
”There was no evidence that she ever paid anything, Woodall said.
 
Staples said she has sympathy for Folarin.
 
”It's hard, and without the proper help sometimes you never know what you may have to do to survive, Staples said.
 
The judge denied bond for Folarin. The children are now with relatives.
