Christopher Dorner: Manhunt launched for former Los Angeles police officer suspected of killing coach and her fiancé
A massive manhunt is under way today for a former Los Angeles police officer who is suspected of gunning down a college basketball coach, her fiancé and later shooting three police officers, one fatally, while seeking revenge for being fired from the police department.
Christopher Jordan Doer allegedly laid out his murderous plans in a chilling 'multipage manifesto' he posted to an online message board.
In it he threatened more violence against the family of Los Angeles who he believes got him fired.
He is suspected of shooting the three police officers early Thursday after cops tried to apprehend him for the killings of Monica Quan and her fiancé, Keith Lawrence, who were found shot dead in their car on Sunday night.
Doer, 33, implicated himself in the 'manifesto' that he wrote, Irvine police Chief David Maggard said last night.

According to Fox News, the manifesto addressed Quan's father, Randal, saying: 'I never had the opportunity to have a family of my own ... (so) I am terminating yours.
'Self Preservation is no longer important to me. I do not fear death as I died long ago on 1/2/09. I was told by my mother that sometimes bad things happen to good people. I refuse to accept that.
'Unfortunately, I will not be alive to see my name cleared. That’s what this is about, my name. A man is nothing without his name.
'I will bring unconventional and asymmetrical warfare to those in LAPD uniform whether on or off duty,' he continued.
Revenge: Doer, also a former Naval reservist, is suspected of shooting three police officers, one fatally early Thursday after the cops tried to apprehend him
Around 1:30 a.m., Doer encountered two police officers who were on 'protection detail' of one of the people mentioned in his online rantings, the Los Angeles Times reported.
They approached his car after a nearby pedestrian told them they saw a man sitting in a car that matched Doer's description.
When they approached, the suspect fled but the cops pursued him onto a highway, police said.
That's where they the suspect shot at the cops, one of whom suffered a graze wound to the head.
The suspect fled the scene but a short time later, Doer ambushed two Riverside cops who were on patrol and shot them both, sources said.
One was killed and the other is gravely wounded.
A good Samaritan picked up one of the cops' radio and called in the shooting.
Authorities have placed security details at potential targets listed in Doer's manifesto.

Police put out a state-wide alert for Doer's vehicle, alerting anyone who thinks they spot him to call 911.
Police mistakenly shot two people early today after seeing vehicles that match the description of Doer's gray Nissan truck.
The first incident occurred around 5:20 a.m. when Los Angeles detectives in Torrance opened fire at the vehicle, injuring two people inside, authorities said.
The victims were rushed to the hospital in unknown condition.
About 25 minutes later, Torrance police shot at another vehicle but no one was injured.

Autopsies showed that Quan and Lawrence were killed by multiple gunshot wounds in the parking structure at their condominium in Irvine, Orange County sheriff's spokesman Jim Amormino said earlier Wednesday.
Quan, 28, was an assistant women's basketball coach at Cal State Fullerton.
Lawrence, 27, wanted to pursue a career in law-enforcement and was a public safety officer at the University of Southe Califoia.
They met while students in Concordia College.
'My son, great man, terrific son, awesome individual. We can only try to live as honorably as were. Would never lie to me. Faced everything head on and always had a smile. I will always love you,' his father, Kevin Lawrence, posted on a Facebook tribute page.
Lawrence's aunt, Mechell'e M. Lawrence, also posted to the online memorial.
'I can not sleep knowing someone has taken my nephew away from me and my family. Keith is innocent, intelligent, funny, quite and just there when ever you need him. I guess God needed you more.
'I HATE that your departure from life had to end this way, but I keep thinking of your last minutes here with Monica, and how evil and disgusting this person is......I hope they catch him and he gets what he deserved, and I'm not talking about his day on the police force.
'My nieces and nephews are my life, and Keith was my baby til I had my own, but he remained in a special place in my heart,' the heartbroken relative wrote.

Suspect's car: Police issued surveillance camera footage of Doer's truck in hopes of catching him
The killings brought mouing and disbelief at three college campuses, Fullerton, USC, and Concordia University, where the two met when they were both students and basketball players.
Police do not know Doer's whereabouts and authorities were seeking the public's help in finding him.
'We have strong cause to believe Doer is armed and dangerous,' Maggard said, adding that the LAPD and FBI are assisting in the case.
Police said the U.S. Navy reservist may be driving a blue 2005 Nissan Titan pickup truck. His last known address was in La Palma in northe Orange County near Fullerton.
Doer was with the department from 2005 until 2008, when he was fired for making false statements.
Quan's father, a former LAPD captain who became a lawyer in retirement, represented Doer in front of the Board of Rights, a tribunal that ruled against Doer at the time of his dismissal, LAPD Captain William Hayes told The Associated Press last night.
Randal Quan retired in 2002. He later served as chief of police at Cal Poly Pomona before he started practicing law.

Doer said that in the course of an arrest, Evans kicked suspect Christopher Gettler, a schizophrenic with severe dementia.
Richard Gettler, the schizophrenic man's father, gave testimony that supported Doer's claim.
After his son was retued on July 28, 2007, Richard Gettler asked 'if he had been in a fight because his face was puffy' and his son responded that he was kicked twice in the chest by a police officer.
But following an investigation, Doer was fired for making false statements.
In his manifesto, Doer said the department fired him for breaking the supposed 'blue line' in which cops do not report against their fellow cops.
