Chris Brown victim of a hoax after cops storm his Hollywood home over fake domestic incident report
An anonymous call to cops on Monday claimed a mother and father were in a fight and the father had raced to another room in the house for a gun.
The Hollywood Hills address was given to authorities but when police arrived at the home with hands on their holsters, they quickly realised it was not only a false alarm, it was rapper Chris Brown being pranked.
According to the website TMZ, police found no evidence of a gunman or any dispute at Brown's $1.6 million home.
Not the scene of the crime: When cops arrived at Brown's house, they found nothing
TMZ reports the 23-year-old entertainer was not home at the time.
The incident is apparently the latest in string of so-called 'swatting' incidents -- when an anonymous tipster calls in a fake report alleging a serious crime -- involving celebrities in Los Angeles.
Kris and Bruce Jenner were allegedly swatted last Friday when someone falsely reported a man with a gun in their Calabasas mansion.
Brown was seen last night at the Greystone Manor Supper Club in Los Angeles. Singer and off and on love interest, Rihanna, was also spotted at the popular club last night, but they left in separate cars. They were also in the recording studio together on Jan. 17. Their rep confirmed they're working on an upcoming song.
