Carmageddon II falls flat: Traffic flows freely in LA as crucial highway shuts for 53 hours
Traffic is flowing freely in Los Angeles after ten miles of the world's busiest freeways have been shut down since midnight yesterday launching a frenzied weekend construction zone that transportation officials hope will end as successfully as last year's first edition. For weeks drivers have been waed to stay away from the segment of Interstate 405 that will be shuttered through the Sepulveda Pass on LA's west side before Monday moing's traffic crunch.
