Woman killed in gas station carjacking, police say

Dekalb County police say they are investigating a deadly carjacking incident that killed a woman early Friday moing.

According to investigators, the woman was leaving the Chevron on Redan Road around 1 a.m when a group of carjackers approached her. When she fought back, the gunman shot her multiples times. She died at the hospital.

The shooters got away but never took the victim's car.

Police believe surveillance cameras mounted outside the store recorded what happened which will could give them a description of the gunman.
