Cherokee County authorities say the care.com babysiiter accused of stealing thousands from a local family and then going on a wild shopping spree has pleaded guilty in court.

 

Gina Groves was sentenced to 25 years in jail, to serve 7 after pleading guilty to 6 felony charges of identity fraud in Cherokee County.

 

The victims found Groves on the popular babysitting search site Care.com. Victims say the background check process failed to identify Groves as a convicted felon.
