ATLANTA - Authorities say a man who died suddenly after robbing a popular car wash died from asphyxiation. The death has been ruled a homicide.

Authorities say Keary Jackson died from asphyxiation, as his chest was compressed during a citizens arrest.

Authorities say Jackson entered the Cactus Car Wash on Ponce De Leon Avenue and apparently attempted to rob the business late Monday moing.

Jackson, 41, was armed with pepper spray and sprayed one of the employees. The manager of the Cactus Car Wash says the employee yelled for help. Other employees came to his aid.

They chased Jackson, eventually catching him and held him down while others called 911.

A witness says Jackson wasn't moving and heard someone say "he's out, he's out." Jackson was transported to a hospital where he later died.

The district attoey now must determine if any charges will be charged.
