Calista Flockhart ditches make-up for conservation conference
Ocean theme: Calista Flockhart wore an unusual dress at a conference hosted by her husband Harrison FOrd's non-profit Conservation International in Sao Paulo, Brazil on Wednesday

When it comes to looking glamorous Calista Flockhart can hold her own against the rest of Hollywood.

But perhaps she felt a more low-key look was better suited to a conservation conference.

Whatever the motivation the actress went bare faced as she joined her husband Harrison Ford at the conference hosted by Conservation Inteational - of which Harrison is vice-chair - in Sao Paulo on Wednesday.

The Ally McBeal star wore her short highlighted blonde hair unstyled and brightened her face with just a hint of lipstick.

Calista showed off her slender frame in an ocean blue dress reminiscent of coral and seashells.

The 48-year-old showed off her slender figure in the knee-length dress, which sported multiple black-and-white crisscrossing straps that flaunted the star's toned arms.

She added height to her 5ft 5in frame with gold-strapped cork platform heels.

The mother-of-one smiled proudly as she put her arm around her famous husband's waist as the pair posed together prior to the event.

Harrison looked dapper in a black suit and polka-dot tie. At one point, the 67-year-old Indiana Jones star donned a pair of spectacles, and was seen bending down to retrieve his glass of red wine on the floor.

The action star serves on the board of the organization, which promotes environmental sustainability around the world. One of its primary focuses in Brazil is the conservation of reef-dwelling species that live nowhere else in the world, according to the CI website.

The couple were snapped enjoying the beach in Rio with their 12-year-old son Liam on the weekend.

Calista looked healthy and toned in a black bikini and shorts, sporting a wide smile on her face as she joined her son in the ocean during the family outing.

Holding out a hand to encourage Liam into the clear water, fearless Calista strode straight out.
