Buford Man David Wayne Sinn Arrested in Scrap Metal Theft

Hall County authorities say they have arrested a man in connection with the theft of scrap metal on Wednesday. investigators say 45-year-old David Wayne Sinn was discovered by the property's owner in the 5700 block of Holiday Road loading scrap metal onto a trailer.

When the owner confronted Sinn, he fled on foot leaving behind his vehicle. Police using K9 units found Sinn in a nearby abandoned home were he was arrested without incidence and charged with theft by taking. He's being held in the Hall County Jail on a $5,000 bond.

According to authorities, the total value of the crap metal was estimated at $850. The items were retued to the owner at the scene.

The case remains under investigation.
