COLUMBUS, Ga. -- Authorities said a man accused of breaking into businesses to steal their gumball machines has been sentenced to four years in prison.

Police said 36-year-old Tyrone Love was accused of breaking into several businesses in the Columbus area.

Officials said Love pleaded guilty to 10 burglaries at a court hearing before Muscogee County Superior Court Chief Judge John Allen.

Assistant District Attoey Brad Bickerstaff said Love needed to go to prison and that businesses don't deserve to have their windows broken in and their gumball machines taken.
