Brunswick Man Christopher Knight Shocked With Taser Dies In Custody
BRUNSWICK, Ga. - Officials are awaiting toxicology test results as they try to determine the cause of death for a 35-year-old man who died in police custody in Brunswick after being shocked with a Taser.
Glynn County Coroner Jimmy Durden said Wednesday an autopsy that began Tuesday on the body of Christopher Knight will not be complete until toxicology tests are completed.
Glynn County police said Knight was arrested Monday after undercover officers saw him ram a car with his vehicle.
Police Chief Matt Doering said Knight was uncooperative after his arrest and was shocked with the Taser after he began kicking the police car's doors and windows. Doering says Knight then rolled over and stopped breathing.
