A boil water advisory issued Saturday has been lifted for residents and businesses in the northe part of Forsyth County.

Water quality tests have been completed and indicate the water is safe for consumption without boiling, say Forsyth County authorities.

The area that had been under the advisory was the north portion of the county, generally north of State Route 369 (Matt Highway), east of Elmo and Westray Roads, including Holtzclaw Road.

The advisory was issued after the county had to shut down a water supply line for repair.

The advisory was lifted late Sunday night.
