Body of Missing Man James Tebeau Found in Ga. Pond
James Tebeau

Authorities say a body found in a Springfield pond has been identified as James Tebeau, who disappeared nearly a year ago.

Effingham County sheriff's spokesman David Ehsanipoor tells the Savannah Moing News ( http://bit.ly/xjZGX0 ) an autopsy revealed Tebeau died of accidental drowning. He said there's no indication of foul play.

The body was identified using dental records, and relatives were notified Thursday.

The 56-year-old Tebeau was last seen on Feb. 18, 2011, at his home on Old Tusculum Road.

Hunters found the body this week in what Ehsanipoor called a very large pond behind Tebeau's residence. Ehsanipoor said sonar was used to search the pond when Tebeau disappeared in February, but nothing was found.
