Body of a woman found in southeast Atlanta Id'd as 54-year-old Larlephea Sharriess
The shocking discovery of a body had officers rushing down to Southeast Atlanta on Thursday. Someone who was walking through the area had found a woman lying dead on the ground and alerted police to the scene. The woman was later identified as 54 year old Larlephea Sharriess. Investigators have not yet commented on how Sharriess died, but they do indicate foul play.
Crime scene technicians spent a large number of hours combing for evidence at the scene on Vanira Avenue. It is still unclear whether the Atlanta woman was killed where the body was found or if the crime was committed somewhere else.
