OCONEE COUNTY, Ga. - A Georgia youth minister is facing child molestation charges Wednesday after being accused of a sexual relationship with a 15-year old girl, say Oconee County authorities.
Oconee County Sheriff Scott Berry says they have arrested 32-year old Brian Richard Gray of Winder Georgia. Gray is the Minister of Youth at the Monroe Church of Christ in Monroe Georgia, says Berry.
Berry says Gray faces 1 count of Child Molestation, 1 count of Statutory Rape, and 1 count of Burglary.
Berry says investigators developed evidence that Gray was involved in a sexual relationship with a 15-year old female from December of 2009 until September of 2010.
The victim and her family are members of the Monroe Church of Christ.
Gray is being held by the City of Notasulga Alabama Police Department in Tallapoosa County, Alabama based on warrants in Oconee County.
Berry says evidence gathered by investigators indicates that Gray would travel to Oconee County at times the victim's parents were away from the house in order to engage the 15-year old in sexual activity.
Berry says more warrants will be obtained for Gray once he retus to Oconee County.
