Atlanta Shootout Leaves One Person Dead
One person is dead and another in the hospital following an early Wednesday shootout in southeast Atlanta.
The shots were fired around 3 a.m.
According to Atlanta police, the victims were leaving the Club Pearl in their vehicle when when another vehicle pulled alongside theirs and someone began to shoot at them.
The driver of the vehicle that was fired upon tried to drive to the hospital but didn't make it. The vehicle ran off the road. One of the victims was shot in the buttock, the other victim was shot three times in the back.
The two victims were transported to Grady Hospital. One of the victims later died. The of the other victim is not known.
Police have no suspects.
