Atlanta Police Search for Suspects in Atlanta Shooting, Crash
ATLANTA - Police are on the search for suspects in an attempted carjacking that ultimately took two lives.
Nikita "Kiki" Thomas and Demetrius Terrell were killed as they were trying to get away from carjackers. During that process they slammed into an oncoming MARTA bus on Campbellton Road Sunday night.
"She was a happy person full of smiles kept a smile on her face 24-7. She was jolly," said the father of one of the victims, Calvin Brittian.
Kiki Thomas's father wants the people responsible for his daughter's death behind bars, soon.
"If anybody know anything out there please come forward because we didn't deserve this. She didn't deserve this," said Brittian.
Atlanta police say Thomas and her fiance, Demetrius Terrell were killed when several people tried to carjack them and shot Terrel. In his efforts to get away -- he drove their vehicle a few blocks before it crashed into a MARTA bus. Both Thomas and Terrel were killed. Thomas's 13-year old son, was with them and survived.
"I think mentally he's taking it very hard because that was his rock. She had his back 24-7. He loved his mamma. Somebody did this to my child and we want to know who and why."
Thomas was a communications supervisor for Atlanta's E-911 department.
Anyone with information about the case is urged to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
