Atlanta police officer Theodore Travis arrested for DUI
COBB COUNTY, Ga. - An Atlanta police officer was arrested over the weekend in Cobb County for driving under the influence and Failure to Maintain Lane.
Theodore Travis was arrested on Sunday Dec. 18 and is now on paid administrative leave, according to APD.
Officer Travis was charged with DUI and failure to maintain lane. Investigators said he has been placed on administrative leave until further notice.
Travis joined the Atlanta Police Department in September 2012.
APD released this statement:
"The Atlanta Police Department takes these allegations very seriously. Chief Tuer has always prioritized officer accountability and honesty, and will continue to take decisive action when necessary to hold his employees to the highest standard."
