Atlanta Police Department Probes Tyler Perry Traffic Stop

ATLANTA - According to TMZ, Atlanta police have launched an investigation into a traffic stop involving Tyler Perry.

The media mogul claims two Atlanta police officers harassed him last month after he admitted he made an illegal left tu.

In an e-mail to supporters, Perry says he was "racially profiled." He claims the two officers were hostile toward him until a black officer approached and recognized him.

TMZ's Harvey Levin says he spoke with a person who says he saw the whole thing.

”The person that I spoke with said that the cop on the right -- at the passenger door -- was trying to talk to him and the other guy was also trying to talk to him and maybe Tyler Perry was confused, said Harvey Levin during an interview on FOX 5's Good Day Atlanta.

According to TMZ and Perry's e-mail, the officers apparently talked and then let Perry go without a ticket.
