Atlanta man Jason Ardis Admitted Role in Annaijh Rolax Case

A witness who took the stand Friday in the murder case of a 9-year-old girl said one of the defendants confessed to participating in the crime.

Jason Ardis, 29, and Charlie West, 22, are on trial for the July 2007 murder of Annaijh Rolax.

The witness said under oath that Jason Ardis told him that he had participated in the crime.

Lawyers for Ardis then tried to discredit the witness.

The witness was on the stand for more than 90 minutes.

Police believe the girl was killed by a stray bullet from a nearby drug while she sat in her apartment.

The bullet stuck her in the head.

Thursday, prosecutors worked to link Jason Ardis to the car witnesses said was speeding away from the scene.

Police said the car -- a Monte Carlo -- belonged to Ardis' girlfriend.
