Atlanta man Christopher Ballard charged with murder in music studio shooting

The Atlanta police department has arrested a man in connection with the shooting death of another man on Lakewood Avenue.

Homicide investigator said they had probable cause to charge Christopher Ballard, 22, with murder.  He tued himself in at the Fulton County Jail Thursday, according to police. 

Ballard is accused in the shooting of 22-year of Anthony Hill.

On July 12, around 2 a.m., officers responded to 1316 Lakewood Ave. in Southeast Atlanta.  Upon arrival, officers said they located a man who suffered a gunshot wound to the head. He was pronounced dead at the scene. 

Police identified 22-year-old Anthony Hill as the victim of a deadly shooting Saturday moing at a warehouse in southeast Atlanta.

The victim was later identified as Hill.

Authorities said they did not believe the shooting was random.

Hill’s family held a vigil and pleaded for answers in the weeks after his killing.
