Atlanta actress Jokisha Brown murdered before birthday
Atlanta Police are looking for the gunman who shot and killed an up-and-coming Atlanta actress, hours before her birthday.
Police responded to Friday night 911 calls about shooting in a strip mall on 2100 Chesire Bridge Road, where they found a woman in her thirties shot multiple times. The woman was later identified by the Fulton County Medical Examiner as 35-year-old Jokisha Brown. Saturday would have been the woman's 36th birthday. Friends said Brown leaves behind a teenage son.
According to police, Brown was found in the driver's seat of a Mercedes Sedan.
No suspects have been taken into custody. Police say they are interviewing witnesses and hope to obtain more leads from nearby surveillance cameras.
Friends say Brown, who was also known as "Kisha," had gone to get her makeup done at a beauty parlor at the strip mall, then was planning on going out for her birthday.
