Arrest in Cobb Pkwy. Hit and Run

MARIETTA, Ga. - Marietta police say they’ve arrested the man responsible for a fatal hit-and-run accident that happened on Cobb Parkway.

 

Police say 66-year-old Francisco Gonzalez-Ponce of Marietta is charged with vehicular homicide, hit and run, and failure to report striking a pedestrian on the road.

Investigators say the accident happened on Cobb Parkway near Seminole Drive. Police have not released the name of the victim, but they say after Gonzalez-Ponce hit him, the victim was struck again by a white SUV. Police are still looking for that vehicle and its driver.
