Andrea Brennan: Married teacher, 37, avoid jail after sending student, 15, sexual picture
A married teacher who sent a 15-year-old student sexually explicit pictures of herself plied him with alcohol will avoid jail after admitting to the charges.
Andrea Brennan, 37, was sentenced to five years probation on Tuesday and must register as a sex offender.
The former middle school teacher from Van Buren Township, Michigan, admitted that she sent the teenage boy at photo of 'a significant portion of her breast' via text message.

She pleaded guilty to using a computer to commit a crime. Prosecutors dropped charges of providing sexually explicit material and fuishing a minor with alcohol as part of the plea deal, the Bellville View reports.
Despite the charges, her husband backed her in court - and her attoey said he attended every appearance before the judge.
'Mr Brennan is very supportive of his wife. He loves her dearly and they have a very strong marriage,' the former teacher's lawyer, Loren M Dickstein, told WXYZ.com.
Police were patrolling the school at 1.30am on July 10 when they allegedly found Brennan drinking in her parked car with the student by the softball fields.

They obtained a warrant and searched her mobile phone, which showed 'a history of text messages' between the pair, Capt. Gregory Laurain said.
He added that there was one 'sexually explicit' photograph of the teacher that had been sent to the boy's phone.
Brennan is a teacher at North Middle School in Belleville, which is part of Van Buren Public Schools.
The teenage boy was never one of her students, and they both denied ever having any sexual contact, police said.

If found guilty on all charges, Brennan faced more than six years in prison.
Van Buren Public Schools Superintendent Michael Van Tassel released a statement in response to the charges.
'There have been charges of improprieties brought against an adult who teaches in the district,' he said. 'We are cooperating with the criminal authorities to obtain the facts and information regarding these charges.'
