Amish may have won battle over hated orange triangles
Amish Buggy

A so-called "Buggy Bill" has been passed by Kentucky's House of Representatives, which would allow the Amish to swap the hated -- but mandatory -- orange triangles on the back of their horse-drawn buggies for strips of reflective tape. There have been recent incidents (and epic mugshots) of Amish men being arrested for refusing to use the triangles.

According to the AP, "the triangle represents the Trinity which they are prohibited from displaying," but to people with SUV-style horsepower, it's a matter of protecting both kinds of drivers. "At the heart of the issue," WebProNews writes, "is whether the govement should put religious freedoms above public safety."
