Amanda Bynes 'has stopped talking to herself'

AMANDA Bynes is said to be responding well to treatment while currently being held in a Los Angeles psychiatric hospital.

Gossip site TMZ is reporting that Bynes has apparently "stopped talking to herself and stopped insulting people," adding, "she's become downright polite, even saying 'please' and 'thank you'.She has shown no signs of violence."

Bynes was admitted to hospital in an involuntary 5150 hold after authorities deemed that she was a danger to others and herself after allegedly starting a driveway fire – in which she accidentally set her clothes alight – at a home in Califoia. She was initially slated to stay in hospital for 72 hours, but the presiding judge in the case extended the hold to two weeks so she could be evaluated further.
