Cash-strapped former NBA star Allen Iverson has been offered $20,000 per game to play soccer for Major League Indoor Soccer's Rochester Lancers, FOX Sports reports. This publicity stunt raises a few questions. First, what indoor soccer team can pay a player $20,000 per game, with a $5,000/goal bonus? None.
Second, are there that many people in upstate New York who care about Iverson? No. Third, would Iverson be any good? Absolutely. He's never played organized soccer, but was a legit pro prospect in both basketball and football in high school.
