Acworth man Christopher Carver arrested after hunting partner killed
An Acworth man was arrested after his hunting partner was shot and later died.
Police say Christopher K. Carver, 42 of Acworth, was out hunting deer with 51-year-old Dennis Orr, of North Carolina, on Oct. 26.
Orr was shot in the abdomen and eventually succumbed to his injuries.
Police interviewed Carver as a witness.
Officers later determined that Carver's statements were false.
On Wednesday, he was arrested for lying to a law enforcement officer and probation violation. Other charges are pending.
