LILBURN, Ga. - Gwinnett police tell reporters that a 73-year-old Lilbu woman shot a man who broke into her home on August 3.

Around 9:45 p.m. the woman who lives along Falconhust Drive heard the suspect knock on the door.

Moments later, she heard glass shatter and knew the man was inside. The woman grabbed her handgun and called 911.

When the suspect made his way upstairs the woman fired several shots.

The suspect, Jamie Christopher Lewis, fled the home and drove to Eastside Medical Center for a gunshot wound.

Lewis was arrested when he was discharged from the hospital.
