4 Detained After Shooting

DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. -- Four people were detained after a shooting in Atlanta, according to the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office.

The shooting occurred at about 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Tressa Washington said. She said investigators were serving an unrelated warrant at a home on Boulderview Drive when shots rang out a few houses down the road.

Washington said the investigators saw three armed men running from the shooting area. One of the men had a shotgun and the other two had hand guns, Washington said. She said they chased them down and arrested them. She said no officers fired their weapons.

Washington said a fourth person was found shot in the stomach. The victim was not identified, but Washington said it was not an officer or a deputy.

News Chopper 2 flew over the scene, where Gresham Road was blocked between Boulderview Drive and Tally Ho Drive and crime scene tape surrounded a home on Tally Ho Drive.

Deputies, police officers and DeKalb County marshals were at the scene.

Nearby, McNair High School on Bouldercrest Road was locked down as a precaution, a DeKalb County School representative said.
