3 hurt after motorcycle hits ‘Zombie’ float at parade

Authorities say a motorcycle with two riders slammed into the back of the ”Atlanta Zombie Apocalypse truck float Saturday afteoon during the annual Little Five Points Halloween parade.

According to witness Mark Williams, of Marietta, told the Atlanta Joual Constitution it appeared the male driver wastrying to pop a wheelie as the parade was passing on Euclid Avenue in Atlanta. He reportedly lost control and that's when he and a female passenger were thrown from the motorcycle, Williams said.

”He went over the handlebars, and she fell off the back, Williams told AJC.

The AJC said the parade was delayed about 15 minutes, but resumed after an ambulance and police arrived. A third person, who was standing on the tailgate of the truck when the motorcycle hit, also appeared to have been injured.

The identities of the crash victims were not immediately known. Witnesses said the injuries did not appear to be life-threatening.
