Georgia State troopers say Tre Shelton was speeding on his dirt bike down Yeager Road when he hit a curb, struck a metal pole and was ejected.

Georgia State Patrol officials confirmed that a teenager died after losing control on a motorcycle.

According to GSP, the accident happened on Yeager Road at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Tre Lovell Shelton, 13, of Douglasville was driving a Honda motorcycle when officials said he hit a curb and left the roadway. He struck a steel post, was ejected from the motorcycle and killed.
