1 Shot In Parking Lot Of Popular Central City Tavern

ATLANTA -- Atlanta police are investigating the shooting of a man outside a popular bar and restaurant in northwest Atlanta.

That shooting happened near the Central City Tave off Howell Mill Road.

Police said a man was shot in the parking lot and then minutes later police swarmed the area.

GA Daily News was the only station there when Atlanta police pulled over five men at a gas station about three-and-a-half miles from the restaurant.

Police put at least two different men in handcuffs and Channel 2’s cameras caught video of a handgun that was pulled out of the car.

Investigators would not say if that gun was definitely connected to this shooting.

They would only say those five men are being detained for questioning.

The victim was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

So far, there is word on a motive behind the shooting.
