Woodstock Butcher Javier Acosta-Caudilla Hires Killer To Take Out Competitor
Cherokee County authorities say they foiled a murder for hire plot in which a Woodstock butcher allegedly tried to take out a competitor.

A Woodstock butcher has been arrested for attempting to hire a killer to take out his fellow butcher

Javier Acosta-Caudilla, a butcher a Main Street shop, is accused of attempting to pay $5,000 to kill a rival butcher.

Acosta-Caudillo did not know he was actually negotiating with a federal agent posing as an assassin.

Authorities say he denied first being involved but then admitted it. He pled guilty to making a false statement.

Several local residents shook their heads when they heard about the allegations.

Acosta-Caudillo's sentencing is scheduled for Dec. 14.
