DeKalb police are investigating an assault and robbery at St. Timothy United Methodist Church Saturday afteoon.

According to police, a woman was assaulted at the church on the 5360 block of Memorial Drive in Stone Mountain.

The incident happened around 3:30 p.m.

The woman was taken to an area hospital to be treated for her injuries, which police said were non life-threatening.

Police continue to investigate the incident and did not release information about any suspects.

The person or persons will be charged with assault and robbery, police said.

Additional information will be delivered ”at a later time, police said.
