Woman Jennifer Autry arrested following Dallas officer-involved shooting

A woman is under arrested following an incident that led to an officer-involved shooting in Dallas, Ga. on Wednesday.

Jennifer Autry was taken into custody after police responded to the 100 block of St. Charles Avenue in regard to a suspicious person.

Autry was seen by a neighbor trying to enter a residence through a partially open garage door.

When approached by Officer J.D. Johnson, a Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) report states that she pointed a "long gun" at the officer.  Officer Johnson opened fire at the woman but neither she nor Johnson were injured.

Autry was arrested and charged with burglary, aggravated assault, loitering and prowling.

The GBI has been called in to conduct an independent investigation.
