Atlanta police released this sketch of a man sought in a sexual assault

ATLANTA - Some residents living in Virginia Highland said they are nervous after a woman was assaulted during a home invasion.

The attack happened on Rosedale Road in northeast Atlanta just before 9 p.m. on Sunday.

Police used a tracking dog that worked to pick up the scent of the home invader.

Officers said police got a call to a home after someone forced their way inside.

”A woman got assaulted directly across the street from us, said resident Summer Puckett.

Police said the attacker had a kitchen knife when he assaulted the woman.

Last month, residents said they were on edge when detectives said a robbing crew shot and killed Charles Boyer outside his girlfriend’s Virginia Highland apartment.

”I usually feel like it’s a safe area. It’s a little scary, said resident Tabitha Robinson.

Last week, police made three arrests in connection to Boyer’s slaying.

Police said officers are working on a description of the invader.
