WATCH: Moment women militants showered police with bullets in the street
TERROR: Two armed women are currently barricaded into a government building

A video has emerged of two women showering polce with bullets in a terrorist attack in Istanbul, Turkey. 

The women can be seen brandishing guns as they target a police station in the Bayrampasa district.

The pair point their rifles as they attempt to hold up a bus.

They later threw a grenade into the street before barricading themselves in a govement building, officials said.

 

Scores of special forces in bullet-proof vests were sent out as the shoot-out unfolded.

And terrified citygoers were evacuated as police put out a terrorist alert across Turkey's busiest city. 

The women hijacked a police car in an attempt to get away but found themselves coered when they barricaded themselves into a police building.

They have since been killed by specialist officers.
