Watch moment reporter asks Islamic State fighters for an interview
Hunar Ahmad gingerly makes his way across a bridge in Iraq as he seeks to interview members of Isis on the other side

Approaching the front line between Kurdish forces and Islamic State militants, this reporter is either very brave or extremely stupid.

With just a bridge separating the two sides in Iraq, correspondent Hunar Ahmad asks the militants if they want to speak to him for Rudaw news.

As he approaches, one of the Kurdish Peshmerga soldiers advises him \"Speak Arabic if you can\" and his hands in the air he gingerly makes his way across the bridge.

He tells the camera for Kurdish news organisation Rudaw: \"We are here close to IS militias at Merriam-Beg, they have made here the border. We are here to interview anyone of them but they are refusing to talk.

Regardless, he continues to head to the border but is told by the Islamic State fighters not to get any nearer.

He says: \"We tried to reach them but they are waing me not to get any closer.

\"From here to the middle belongs to Peshmerga forces and the rest belongs to them.\"

But his efforts seem to be in vain as he retus towards the Kurdish side saying: \"We repeatedly tried to talk to the IS militias but they are busy strengthening their front lines right here.\"
